Anastasia Goncharova

LinkedIn I am a multidisciplinary artist and art theorist working at the intersection of film, textile, photography, and installation. With a foundation in both the arts and humanities, my practice combines critical inquiry with artistic expression, examining how our worldview and identity are shaped by social structures and proposing resistance through sensory depth, attentiveness, and reflection.

A central focus of my work is the tension between visibility and invisibility: what is seen, what is distorted, and what is systematically erased. I specifically interrogate ideas perpetuated by media and dominant narratives. For that reason, many of my projects foreground marginalized and silenced perspectives, challenging the prevailing ways of seeing the world.

Ultimately, my work aims to disrupt “common sense” - the beliefs we unconsciously adopt as our own - and provoke independent, critical reflection. By doing so, I invite my audience to reconsider how they truly think, see, listen, and feel.
